Grilled Ribeye, birdseye steam bag veggies, and a fried egg
Hello Friends!
It’s been a while since I have done a food post. I have been on an intermittent fasting kick. On the week days, I drink butter coffee in the morning as a breakfast replacement. I eat my first meal around 11:30. I try to eat either a salad or a sandwhich wrap, with veggies and lean meat. For dinner I try to eat around 7:30 or 8:00. I have been eating a lot of Birdseye steam veggies and eggs. I usually pair this with a protein like salmon or chicken.
Some days I will have a snack after work. Snacks include bananas, natural peanut butter, hummus, nuts, raisins, cranberries, and I have really been digging on these seed chips from trader joes. I have tried the beet chips and the sweet potato chips. Both are super-good! Although I try not to eat alot of carbs, these seem pretty healthy. These chips satisfy my “crunchy food cravings”. (not a paid endorsement, I just like these chips)
On the weekends I have been trying to have more disciplined eating plans; eating only one meal a day. The video in this post is an example of one of my single meal a day meals. This big ribeye, bag of veggies, and one fried egg is a great meal. I drink my butter coffee in the morning. Then try to eat a meal around 3:00, but am not super stict about the time.
Besides a small blip in my eating plan, involving a week of eating left-over halloween candy, this intermittenent fasting plan has helped me get off a weight plateau I was stuck on.
I am doing mostly interval workouts and intermittent fasting. The results are good! I feel great. I am converting fat to muscle. I am not tired or sore, and I workout everyday. I think this is really the way I should have been eating my whole life.
If you have never tried intermittent fasting, it might be worth a shot for you.
Thanks for reading! Be happy and healthy my friends!
