Good Morning, my friends! I hope everyone had a great week and weekend this past week. To kick off the new week on the positive, this is The Workout of the Week, from GoodAttitudeFood.com. This is The Days Are Getting Longer Workout.
In The Post…
Coming up in this post: There is an all-new Pics of the Week, a shoutout to “a disc golfer’s best friend” – Disc Golf Strong (DGS) Workouts, and my own routine for the week.
Pics of the Week
As promised, here is an all-new Pics of the Week! This week we have some delicious food, some disc golf pics, a HILARIOUS voicemail text error where a co-worker thanked me for being a “hot priest” (which I think created an “age-restriction” to my video on YouTube – and is not at all what the co-worker actually said. Then of course there is more delicious food, outdoor trail rucking, and some more disc golf! Check it out below!
Longer Days
Winter feels like it might be over the hump here in MN. The cold spell snapped. The days are getting longer, providing more and more precious sunlight. I even think I saw some buds starting to pop on the trees yesterday.
Longer days mean more disc golf for this guy. Longer days mean I can actually play a course on a weekday, after work, and not worry about it being dark by the time I finish. They mean I can meet up with a friend and get a 9-hole in before dark! More disc golf also means I need to be more aware of my arm and body as I increase my play.
Disc Golf Strong (DGS)
This is where Disc Golf Strong comes in. If you didn’t catch it back in October, I won an Instagram giveaway from DGS. In that giveaway, I won entry into the DGS Performance Academy. SOO Grateful! The program was awesome!
As an ACE certified personal trainer, I know Seth is running a great program. It was SOOO useful for me to see a trainer apply training to a sport as specific as Disc Golf. Seth’s teaching and methods are spot on!
DGS taught me a ton about exercises specific to disc golf and how to maintain my body while playing disc golf for longevity. DCS workouts are like a “disc golfer’s best friend’. Even though the Performance Academy program ended, I still reference the site and the workouts often. This week I will be incorporating some of the moves into my workouts.
Check out DGS on Insta, Facebook, YouTube, and other social. Seth does an awesome job with this stuff. DGS is at pretty much all the pro disc golf events. Players like Paige and Eagle swear by DGS, for good reason. DGS is a game changer! I cannot recommend them more highly. Check them out!
The Workout

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday this week the workout will include a quick 20-minute “burner” from GCN.
Then follow that with three free-style shadowboxing Tabata rounds: 80/50 max effort, a minute break between. I am using my weighted gloves. Interval timers are set to 8: 20/10. Work at 80% max for 20 seconds doing punch combos, then work at 50% max for 10 seconds do defensive moves and repeat for the eight intervals. Repeat for three sets or rounds. Freestyle – Have some fun and get into the flow!
Finish up with a “yoga flow” cool down, warrior poses, diamond cutters, sun sals, for about 5 – 10 minutes.
Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday
On Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday I will be accessing some of the awesome member content and workouts from Disc Golf Strong. I cannot obviously give away the DGS stuff or workouts, but I can plug them! Check out Disc Golf Strong! I will also be doing some rucking – another thing I learned from DGS. The goal is a one-mile or longer ruck each of these days.
Sunday
A 30 minute Power Yoga routine.
Make It A Great Week
Thank you SOOO much for reading. Thank you Disc Golf Strong – the performance academy and DGS workouts are awesome! Disc Golfers, check out DGS! Thanks to Sean and HASfit for the great yoga routine. Thanks to GCN for the awesome “quick-ripper” on the spin bike!
Until next time, make it a great week. Be the hero or heroine in your story!
