Good Morni…
Good Afterno…
Good Evening my friends! The post is coming at you a little late this week. It’s Monday evening and I am just starting to write it. If you follow me on Insta #@GoodAttitudeFoodDude, you would know I had a busy weekend of Disc Golf. The weather was great and I couldn’t stay inside. So, I am writing the post a bit late. Anyways, to kick off the new week on the positive, this is the Workout of the Week from GoodAttitudeFood.com. This is the FTB Dumbbell Workout.
Pics of the Week Yo!
Right Into The Workout!
Because I am writing this so late, I am going to get right into the workout. Then I am going to make a sausage, (turkey) pepperoni, green olive BIY pizza! Oh, and I still gotta actually do today’s workout routine, The FTB Dumbbell Workout.
(remember to do a warm-up! #fighttipsdynamicwarmup)
FTB
What the heck does FTB mean bro? Another acronym? C’mon now…
Yep, Another acronym. Actually an acronym with another acronym!
FTB Means, “FIIT Tabata Burner”.
FIIT
Flow Intensity Interval Training. Work with an interval timer. There is a “hard” and a “rest” interval. Work at 80%, or an 8 of 10, of your perceived max effort for the hard interval. Work at about 50%, or a 5 out 10, perceived max effort for the rest interval.
Tabata Burner
A Tabata Burner is just three sets of Tabata intervals, with up to a one minute break in between sets.
A “Tabata” is 8 intervals of 20 seconds of hard work and 10 seconds of rest. One set takes 4 minutes.
FTB Dumbbell Routine
The FTB Dumbbell Routine is three sets of FIIT Tabata Intervals, with dumbbells!
There is a one minute break between each round. The total workout should take 14 minutes.
With the Interval Timer set to 8 x 20X10.
During the 10-second “rest” intervals, walk and carrying the bells.
During the 20-second “hard” intervals, do these 8 moves.
- Alternating Bicep curls
- Overhead press
- Rowe
- Alternating Front Lifts
- Alternating Leg, Sumo Squat Walk
- Reverse Lunge
- Calf Raises
Repeat that three times with only a one-minute break between rounds for the full FTB Dumbell Workout.
I will be doing this workout on Tuesday and Friday.
Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday
