Good Morning my friends! I hope everyone had a great week and a better weekend. To kick off the new week on the positive – This is The Workout of the Week from GoodAttitudeFood.com. This is The Level Up 2.3 Workout.
This Week…
The post this week has some exciting news. I think the title might give it away, more to come on that. The Food this week is a kitchen experiment – Monster Cacao Banana Bread Bars – cooked in my grill pan! The Music is a great mix from YouTuber Yugen. And, The Workout is gonna be a good one!
Without Further Ado (… Adieu?)
In this case, I think we use “without further ado” – meaning without delay. Vs. “without further adieu” – which can mean without excessive goodbyes. — At least according to grammarist.com. By the way – blogger friends, students, whoever wants to “write good grammar” (cringe-worthy?) 🙂 Grammarist is a cool site to help.

I got a new, part-time gig!
As a small group fitness instructor at Anytime Fitness in Cottage Grove, MN.
Yup, yup. What’s that? Another Goal accomplished for 2019. YUP!

The job is at a great facility and I get to be part of a great team. I couldn’t be more excited about this opportunity. Stop in and say “Hi”!
That’s right! I got a chance to take this stuff to the next level! More details to come, but this is a huge personal goal.
Level Up!
Now It’s time to level up!
For every level there is another devil.

This is one of my biggest goals. I got a chance now to make it real. Time to put in some work. Time to level up.

Goal Number One
Create and Add Value to each class experience.

Learn how to make my own tracks with music, motivational speakers, and interval timer tracks mixed. Sync workouts with those tracks.

Work hard and get better every day.
Add more goals as needed! Earn the right to be there. Then prove it every opportunity.

The Food
Monster Cacao Banana Bread Bars, in a grill pan!
Here is the recipe:
- Trader Joes Banana Bread Mix – 1 box
- About 3 tablespoons of Peanut Butter
- About 3 tablespoons of cacao
- 1 Cup of monster trail mix (archer farms)
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons of ghee (melt it, then add with liquid ingredients)
- about 1/3 cup of water
- about 1/3 cup of chocolate milk
- 2 or 3 (or to taste) tablespoons of stevia
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
- 2 overripe, mashed up bananas
Stir all that together. Mix it well, but don’t ever mix it.
Then I buttered up (w/ghee) my grill pan and used it as a baking sheet for this. I don’t have any baking sheets, but surprisingly this worked better than I could have planned. No stick. The bars came out GREAT!

The Music

The Music this week is a great LoFi Hip Hop mix called Cafe Music from YouTuber Yugen. Check out the hours of chill beats on Yugen’s channel!
The Workout
7-K-Steps-a-day: 4 days or more
This past week I got in 71,134 steps. According to my Samsung app that equals 32.56 miles walked from 10/14 to 10/20. 7k and then some. 🙂
This week my goal is to get ay least 7,000 steps, four days.
Counting up to 1,000 miles
Last week the miles walked count was at 117.26 miles. With the 32.56 walked this week, that brings my new total up 149.82 miles on my way to 1,000 miles walked.
Working out at the new Gym
I will be working out at the Anytime Fitness in Cottage Grove this week as I try to get familiar with the new space. It’s like a new playground! Here is what I am thinking:
- Warm-up – FightTips warm-up
- Spin bike – 2 FIIT Tabata rounds with a 2 minute free spin in between rounds (8 X 20×10)
- Boxing intervals – Punching bag! – 15 X 30×30 – FIIT Principles, punch combo and defensive movements. Maybe add some jump rope!
- Rower Machine – 2 FIIT Tabata rounds with no break (16 X 20×10)
- ***Bonus goal – TRX straps –
- ***Bonus goal – try a new machine or piece of equipment each time I am at the gym.
- Cool down – 10 minute easy yoga routine
Maybe Another Week of Disc, weather pending
And of course, if the weather is ok, I am going to try to get a few rounds of disc golf in if I can. Discing is one of my favorite ways to get out and exercise. It’s like a nature hike where every once in a while you toss a frisbee. #ZenSport.
