Good morning my friends! I hope everyone had an amazing week last week! To kick off the new week on the positive, this is The Workout of the Week from GoodAttitudeFood.com. This is The Traveling (for work) workout.

The post this week will include a cool, chilled-out, smooth, ChillHop mix – to help find that flow. The Food this week is a re-hash of one of my Favorite recipes – my Quick Guacamole recipe, with a small new twist. AAAaaand in case you didn’t catch the title, I will be traveling this week, so the workout is all about trying to get a workout in while traveling.
Row The Boat!
A super-special shout out to the MN Golden Gophers Football team after their first victory over a top 5 ranked team (Penn State) since 1904!
PJ Fleck (the Gopher’s Coach) has a saying – “Row the boat”. I love it. Row the boat is a mantra that Coach Fleck brought with him to the Minnesota program.
I gotta admit, the first time I heard him say “Row the boat”, I was like – What boat bro? Haha.
After reading about Coach Fleck, I learned he came up with that mantra after the death of him and his wife’s young child.
“Row the boat” basically means, no matter what, I am going to keep going. Good or bad, I am going to continue doing what needs to be done.
In the face of hardship, I will go on.
Keep rowing that boat.
ROW THE BOAT!
Don’t Give Up
The never give up mantra is one that I am totally on board with. We cannot give up when we are faced with hardships.
We need to keep going. We cannot give up.
The Music

The Chillhop Music channel on YouTube is one of my favorites. They post hours and hours of free videos. I love the cool animation. Great Music to help find that flow! This week I am flowing along with their Hibernation Mix. Check out the channel and show them some love for the awesome free tunes!
The Food – “Quick” Guacamole

- 4 avocados
- pre-made pico de gallo – to save time — or onions, tomatoes, and peppers chopped up — I just buy the pre-made stuff to cut down on my prep time — That’s why its “quick” guac!
- red onion – I also buy this pre-chopped
- lime and lemon juice
- about 2 tsp of garlic salt
- about 2 tsp of garlic powder
- chopped hot peppers – I like to use a few jalapenos and serranos
- S & P to taste
- a chopped up bundle of cilantro
- **”extra hot” guac seasoning

Then just add all that to a bowl! I cut the avocados in half, spoon them out, and then use my mashing tool to smash all the stuff together.

Boom – Quick Guac!
The Workout

Being that I will be “on the road” – really flying on a plane – I will be living in a hotel this week and again next week – I am going off script a bit with the workout. I am not creating a workout schedule, because I am not sure exactly what my days will look like. I am also not sure what my hotel gyms will look like. Workouts will depend on the hours I work.
Instead of a schedule this week I am going to fit in what I can. I am bringing along my Meister weighted gloves. I am still going after my step goals. I will be fitting in some intervals using the interval timer on my phone. I will have my laptop with me and should be able to fit in some yoga video workouts. Traveling is not an excuse to be lax on those goals my friends!
Goal 1 – 7K-Steps-A-Day
The step goals will continue. After all, I can walk anywhere I go! Travelling is no excuse not to get those goals. KEEP ROWING THE BOAT!
7-K steps, at least four days this week.
Counting Up to 1,000 Miles Walked
This past week I again killed those steps goals! From 11/4-11/10 I walked 67,617 steps. According to my Samsung app, that equals 31.08 miles added over the last week. Last week the counter was at 205.63. With the adds this week the total miles walked count is at 236.71 miles walked on my way to 1,000 miles!
Disc?
I am going to bring a putter and a driver with me in my carry-on. I checked and there are Disc courses where I will be! If the work schedule allows, totally going to try and throw a round or two! You can bring Frisbees on a plan right??
Yoga
I will also be trying to fit in some yoga videos as time allows. You can totally do yoga-stuff in a hotel room, or a hotel gym, or outside… traveling is no excuse to not. Plus, pretty sure the yoga-stuff will help with the body aches that come with sleeping in a weird bed and flying on a plane.
Make it an Awesome Week!

There you have it, my friends! Thank you so much for reading. Thanks to the free content provider – Chillhop Music – make sure to check them out. Make it an awesome week.
Be happy and healthy my friends. Remember when we face adversity in life heroes (and heroines) do not give up, they keep rowing their boat! Be the hero in your story and keep on rowing, no matter what!
