Good Morning my friends. I hope everyone had a great week and better weekend. If you didn’t get it from the title, I am taking the week off from writing the Workout of the Week post.
Pics of the Week!
There is still a Pics of the Week video. I Disc Golfed at Rosland (“The Practice Course”). Tossed a double at AliMags. A quick 9er in The Backyard (Moir Park) and walked the Nine Mile Creek Trail out to mile marker 1.2 and back. Then, the highlight of the week was Saturday playing Crown College with a couple “kids from the crew”; Steve and Emily.
My putting game was horrible and despite getting in position to make a late run, I couldn’t convert. The last few holes at Crown I crushed my long shots and put myself in a position to gain strokes.
I just flat out missed my putts, hitting the basket or pin, but not in. The Steve beat me by 4, and Em beat me by 2. It was hot. Winds were fairly steady at about 10 – 20 mphs, but Crown is so open the wind is a factor. It was a challenging day, but a ton of fun!
Last, I finished the week off with a solo double at Bandimere. “Bandi” is a fun little 9er with a few cool shots. Nothing special but a fun course with a little character, at a nice park. The green monster pond on holes 8 and 9 of Bandi has now claimed two of my nukes. The pond ate one of my favorite discs ever, the Blue Nuke :(. It ate a nuke the last time I was there! I am pissed at myself because I have my orange burner nuke in the bag and didn’t throw it… Blue Nuke, gone forever.
I also made Sour Ale Crack Chicken in my Instant Pot this week.
And I ordered some food from Sawatdee on Lyndale, in my neighborhood. Sawatdee is a Bloomington must-stop-spot if you are ever here! The Thai food at Sawatdee is always on point! Supenn, the founder of the restaurant is a cool success story too! I got the Medium Spicy Shrimp Supreme and the Supenn state fair egg roll. Soooo Good!
