The WOW – Workout of the Week starting Monday August 13th, will be a super-tough 20 Minute HIIT ladder video from Fitness Blender. Fitness Blender is a great resource for anyone looking for workout and health info. Check them out for yourself!
This workout is a no joke, gut it out, work-your-butt-off for a solid 20 minutes of hard work! It’s going to take some GRIT to get through this it, but it’s only 20 minutes. No equipment to mess with. Just work! Focus and push through! I usually listen to some motivation at the same time as doing a workout – “Do you have the character?” — “YOU DO!” – just a tip that keeps me moving!
I am doing this video on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning. Those afternoons will be either a walk/jog in the evening, disc golf, or light cardio work on the stationary bike.
Tuesday and Thursday I am doing resistance band training in the morning. I like to do this as tabata sets, just to keep me focused. I will usually play a tabata playlist from workout music source and rock-out 3 to 5 rounds of resistance band work, doing a full body workout. I recently upgraded my restistance band game with a new set from Flexible Sport. I found this on Amazon for under $20. I do not need big expensive gym equipment to get a good workout. Don’t just take my word for it though, here is a great article that talks about resistance band workouts. The set comes with a booklet that shows a bunch of exercises. I do a full body workout, with alternating exercises each tabata interval.
Also remember that warming up before a workout and stretching after a workout both are SUPER-IMPORTANT. I will be doing a daily yoga video this week as well.
I am going to continue doing intermittent fasting; drinking butter coffee in the morning, eating my first meal at about 11:30, then eating my last meal before 7pm. I grilled chicken breast. I hard boiled half a dozen eggs. I bought a big container of organic greens to make salad. I have a bunch of Wild Wonder “gourmet medley” of finger small tomatoes that go great with the salads. My goal every day this week, and I think most days going forward, is to eat a “big-ole-salad” for one of my meals.
There you have it everyone; The WOW – Workout Of the Week from GoodAttitudeFood.com. Be happy and healthy my friends! And remember you can be the hero of your own story!
