Good Morning, my friends! I hope everyone had a great week and weekend. To kick off the new week on the positive, this is The Workout of the Week from GoodAttitudeFood.com. This is The 38 Years Workout.
In The Post…
Coming up in the post, well… It’s this Dude’s 38th birthday on Monday 2/15 when this post will go live. So far, I have been blessed to have lived a good life, and this post will reflect a little on my 38 years. I also have a good workout planned. There will be heavy bag Tabata burners, a GCN spin bike video to ride along to, and – if it’s not too cold out – some Rucking and Disc Golf, if it is too cold, yoga videos. Before get too far though, check out the Pics of the Week!
Pics of the Week
Turning 38
To be honest, I don’t feel a whole lot different to be turning 38 than I did when I was in my 20s. I am much healthier now so, in many ways I think I feel better than, or as good as, I ever have. Sure I have some “creeks and groans” but I know how to manage those. I certainly know more about myself. Physically speaking though, I feel top form!
What I Know
Turning 38, there are still many things I do not know. I am wise enough to admit that! I do know that I certainly don’t know as much as I think I know!
Another thing I do know is where I have been. I do not know exactly where my life is going. For sure, I know where I have been.
Try To Live in the Moment
In 38 years: I have lived in the past, have been so focused on the future that I put off relationships and friends, and have tried to learn to live in the moment. At the end of the day, that is my goal – to try to live in the moment. We can sit in regret and be stuck in the past. That trap will get you stuck and keep you there if you let it. We can have massive goals that cause us to neglect those who are important in our lives. Been there, done that. Thanks to everyone who stuck by me despite it. If nothing else, I have learned the best way to find happiness is to try to find the balance in the middle where you live in the moment.
Better said than done. A constant struggle. Remember to breathe. Keep survivin’! 🙂
Blah, Blah… On to the Workout!

Heavy Bag Tabata Burners
On Monday and Thursday, I will be doing some Heavy Bag Tabata Burners. With interval timer at 8:20/10. Using my RDX Fitness Bag. Go hard for 20 seconds, then rest for 10 seconds. These are the moves:
- Fireman Carry Squats
- Bicep Curls
- Shoulder Press
- Dead Lift
- Floor Bench Press
- Shoulder carry press passes – press the bag from one shoulder to the other while lifting it over the head.
- Suitcase carry left
- Suitcase carry right
Do three rounds of this. Take up to a minute break between rounds.
GCN 30/30s!
GCN YouTube bike workout videos truly helped change my life. For the Tuesday and Friday portion of the workout, I reached back into the vault for a classic 20 minute HIIT workout this week. This video will kick your butt! Sprint 30, rest 30, repeat. No fooling around, just get it!! Check out the video. Check out the other contact from GCN! They have tons. They are great!
Rucking and Disc Golf – if it’s warm enough, otherwise a yoga video
It has been SUPER-cold in MN lately. I am having outdoors withdrawls. If it’s not too cold I plan to do some Rucking and some Discing. If it is too cold, I will probably try to get in some DDPY or Yoga With Adriene!
Have a Great Week
Thank you so much for reading! Thanks to GCN for all the awesome content. I hope everyone has an awesome week. Until next time, be the hero or heroine in your story!
